Ed Ryzowski was born, raised, and still lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba (that's in Canada btw).  Though to be honest, with each passing frigidly cold winter he finds it harder and harder to understand why.

After high school he attended the School of Fine Art at the University of Manitoba, only to make the bold (and by "bold" I mean "spectacularly stupid") decision to drop out just before his thesis year and quit art altogether for the better part of a decade.  In 2005 though he came to question the wisdom of that life choice, and so he began his long humbling trek back into the art world by starting up the webcomic Geek Tragedy.

Over the next few years he worked diligently to try and rebuild his art skills ('cause in case you were wondering, not picking up a pencil for 7 years does a wonderful job of obliterating any artistic ability one might have once possessed), until he finally reached a level where he once again began to feel confident with what he do could behind the wheel of a drafting table (and eventually a Wacom tablet as well).  At which point he did what any rational person would do.  He put the webcomic he worked so very hard build an audience for on hiatus to work on other projects.

Currently Ed finds work as a freelance artist for various people and organizations who are kindly enough to pay him to do what he loves.  You can see examples of his current work over at Brad Guigar's Evil Inc where Ed has been doing the colorist duties since April of 2008.  As well, Ed is constantly working at expanding and improving his colorist / digital painting portfolio in an effort to gain regular work within the comic book industry.

It should also be noted that at this moment Ed has grown very tired of writing about himself, and even more so doing it in the third person, so he is going to save this and head to bed.
